LidarRoom — Effective date: 2026-09-28
This policy explains how LidarRoom processes information when you scan rooms, edit floor plans, save projects, export files or use paid features. “We” means the developer providing LidarRoom through its App Store listing. Contact: support@lidarroom.app.
The app uses the camera, LiDAR and Apple’s RoomPlan/ARKit frameworks to capture room geometry. Project data can include walls, doors, windows, objects, measurements, room names, annotations, edits, thumbnails and export files. You may also choose to import project files or images used in your documents.
Room capture and plan processing take place on your device. Projects are stored in the app’s local files. When iCloud sync is enabled and available, project files are stored in your Apple iCloud Drive account and synchronized by Apple. LidarRoom does not use a developer-operated database to store your room scans or project library, and does not send project files to Firebase Analytics or Adapty as part of their normal analytics or purchase processing.
When you export or share a file, iOS passes it to the destination you select. That destination and the people you share it with may retain copies under their own policies. Send us a project or screenshot only if you intend to share its contents for support.
The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These services process technical information such as app and OS versions, device characteristics, installation/session identifiers, usage events, purchase-related events and crash/error diagnostics. Usage events describe actions such as opening a screen, scanning, editing, exporting or interacting with a paywall. Parameters may include file formats, feature choices and technical results of an operation.
Service providers also receive connection information such as an IP address, which may be used to derive approximate region. The app does not request precise GPS location. We use analytics to understand feature use and purchase flows, and diagnostics to investigate failures and improve reliability. See Firebase’s privacy information.
Apple processes payments. We do not receive your payment-card details. StoreKit and Adapty process purchase and subscription information, such as product and transaction identifiers, receipt/transaction verification information, subscription status, expiry, refunds, storefront and currency. Adapty also processes app/device information, a profile identifier and paywall interactions to deliver offers, verify access and measure their operation. See Adapty’s privacy policy.
The app can cache verified access information to support use when connectivity is interrupted. A cached state does not create an unlimited subscription. Restoring a purchase may require contacting Apple and Adapty.
If you contact us, we process the email address, message and attachments you provide to answer your request. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for the request.
We share information with service providers needed to run the app: Apple for device frameworks, iCloud and purchases; Google Firebase for analytics and diagnostics; and Adapty for paywalls and subscriptions. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and our rights. If the app’s business changes ownership, relevant information may transfer subject to applicable law and this policy.
We do not sell your personal information or use room scans for targeted advertising. The app does not offer a public feed of your projects.
The app does not require a separate LidarRoom login account. Uninstalling normally removes the app’s local data, but iCloud files, backups, exports and provider records may remain. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to a supervisory authority.
We process information to provide requested app features, verify purchases, respond to support, diagnose faults and understand app usage. Where applicable, the legal basis is performance of the service you request, our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the app, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required.
Local and iCloud project retention is controlled primarily by your deletion and storage settings. We retain support, analytics, diagnostic and subscription records only as needed for their purposes and applicable legal requirements, subject to provider retention settings. Some transaction information may need to be retained for accounting, fraud prevention or legal compliance even after a deletion request.
Apple, Google and Adapty may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Applicable provider safeguards and legal transfer mechanisms govern these transfers. Project storage in your iCloud account follows Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
We use platform protections and access controls appropriate to the information processed. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep important project backups and review files before sharing them.
LidarRoom is not specifically directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us without required permission, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may revise this policy as the app or its services change. The effective date above identifies the current version, and we will provide additional notice where required. Privacy questions: support@lidarroom.app.
